Tags and blogrolls

I've exported the tags and vocab from the old site and imported them into here, getting the tagadelic cloud on the right hand side of the page.

I've also created a blogroll by creating a new blogroll cck type and views for displaying them.

twitter two

Twitter two wooooo!

Trying a different alias command this time..

twittering...

I've added a twitter module to my blog. It should automagically post to twitter when I add an entry here..

Drupal Acquia Marina Theme Update

Looks like there's a bug in the Acquia Marina Theme. If I have all the blocks on the right then the green banners and white boxes don't work. A single block on the left makes both sides work.

Drupal Acquia Marina Theme

I've applied the new Acquia Marina theme to the site. It looks good but looks better in the preview picture:

I can't work out where the white boxes with the green title bars surrounding the blocks have gone. Firebug is telling me that they are being overridden but that's not something to look at tonight!

The tag cloud has disapeared for the time being as it breaks the W3C compliance, as does the YouTube insertion that was here. The blue W3C logo goes better with the site too I think :)

Google Reader

I've been using Google's RSS Reader recently to organise some of the stuff that I regularly look at on the wubbleyou wubbleyou wubbleyou. I'm using Google Reader to manage my subscriptions but exporting the OPML file so that I can use the Newsstand iPhone app to read when I've got a few minutes to spare. It seems to be working well.

I've exported some of my 'blogrolls' over there on the right. I can change what appears on this site by simply changing the tags on the Google Reader app.

I've exported the blogrolls with no title and no formatting so that I can control the look and feel myself by creating drupal blocks for each of the rolls. The only thing that I'm not able to control is the order. It's alphabetical.

Fiddling with layout..

I've been playing about with Drupal themes to see where I can drop ads. The colours leave a lot to be desired but I think that the layout is better. Will see what it looks like on a few different screens as I've only got my 12" Powerbook screen where I'm sat..

Openid

Drupal 6 now includes support for OpenID logins so I've been having a nosy.. My understanding at the moment is that you need to either setup your own OpenID server or use someone elses who is willing to vouch for you. I've signed up with https://www.myopenid.com/ which got me part of the way there. But to stop myself being tied into them I have delegated MyOpenID to vouch for 'garan.org' by adding some header tags into the front page of this site.

Drupal 6

I've just upgrade this site to Drupal 6. Already I'm seeing some neat little changes.

Drupal and theme updates

I've just updated the content management system and some of the modules that this site is based on to the latest version. I've also updated the theme to the latest version too so there may be some little niggles..
